Platform Developer

Omakase is looking for a talented Platform Developer with solid backend skills to join our young, tight-knit boutique in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium. You'll work closely with our frontend developers and other members to realise elegant solutions to complex business challenges. Engineering at O plays an important role in how we shape the projects and products we craft, and we'll involve you in the project lifecycle as from day one

What we're looking for

• You have over 3 years of experience
• You're keen about application architecture, tech stacks, ERD's and patterns
• Someone with solid coding skills
• You’re smart, flexible and bring good energy
• Solid knowledge of at least one backend technology (e.g. Ruby, PHP, Node)
• You have decent clientside scripting skills, too (JS)
• Terminal is your friend
• Know about MVP frameworks and how to automate your workflow

Definitely a plus

• Ruby on Rails experience
• You know something about AI
• Expert database / big data skills
• Contributions to open source projects
• DevOps experience
• You like Vim
