UI Developer

Omakase is urgently looking for a talented UI Developer with a strong focus on frontend techniques and UX to join our young, tight-knit boutique in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium. You'll work closely with our designers and other members to realise elegant solutions to complex business challenges. You will give our client that special feeling when navigating the platform. Engineering at O plays an important role in how we shape the projects and products we craft, and we'll involve you in the project lifecycle as from day one

What we're looking for

• Someone with solid coding skills
• You’re smart, flexible and bring good energy
• You have a pixel-perfect eye for modern aesthetics
• Experience with Photoshop and Sketch
• JavaScript is second nature for you
• Sensei level HTML and CSS, obviously
• Know about client side frameworks and how to automate your workflow
• A good feeling for UX and frontend snappyness

Definitely a plus

• Experience with React or similar frameworks
• Experience with prototyping
• Terminal is your friend
• Ruby on Rails / Node.js / backend experience
• Contributions to open source projects
• You know how to keep the frontend load lightweight
